This was a combined still and video shoot in support of an on going music series called Better Sound Sessions for Bose. As part of the series, Bose invites musicians to perform in their studio and then records their live performances. I worked along side the lead creative on the project to drive the look/feel of the shoot and provide creative direction for both video and still photography.
It was a two day shoot where we captured both interviews and performances. We produced two videos for use in retail and on various social channels. We were also able to capture live performances on periscope and Q&A on Snapchat. All of these assets were used to create quality branded content for Bose customers and helped promote music as core value for Bose.

This is a poster I made based on the HBO show WestWorld. I was hooked from the start and decided to explore some of the reoccurring elements from the show within this piece. The player piano is the perfect metaphor for the show. A piece of machinery that plays off of a predetermined script and on loop, much like the robots within the park. But the robots soon show that there is always room for improvisation.

Bose recently went through a rebranding effort that touched all aspects of design, including the website. The web design team was tasked with carrying out the vision of the brand through out the site. The brand became more confident in not only presenting the technology of the company but also in showing the humanity behind those innovations. These new pages represent that effort in capturing both sides of the companies personality.
The new design aesthetic also had a simpler way of representing the brand and its product pages. With white, black, and tones of gray, products could rest simply on overlapping panels and backgrounds. These elements helped create depth on the page and offered spaces where the technology story could be told in interactive ways. Gotham also became the new font and reflected the mature simplicity of the brand.

Maren Morris was nominated for four Grammy awards during 2017 and Bose wanted to create social content to support her during this time. As an artist closely tied with Bose, it gave us a clear opportunity to tell her story leading up to this moment. Bose wanted to post this content with good luck messaging and congratulate her if she ended up wining a Grammy.
This video used existing content that was captured during a partnered Rolling Stone shoot, but was tailored to create a more concise story that related to the Grammy's. The video was edited to focus on her journey as a musician. That night she won Best Country Solo Performance and we ending up using the congrats video as well.
Game of thrones and Beer. Two of my favorite past times come together in this personal project.
Designing beer labels was always a dream of mine, so I decided to create some based on GOT. Coming up with the names for these fake beers was probably the most exciting part of the project. Exploring textures and illustrating the labels was a close second.
I found out later that Ommegang Brewery actually already started creating real beers based on GOT. And I've since had the pleasure of drinking some myself. Even though it's real thing now, I still enjoy coming up with new names and I'm glad there is something out there I can actually drink. Cheers!

Buzz Chillington is a handset alphabet with accompanying flourish accents. A personal project that was in part based on a friend and a Family Guy reference.
This was a combined still and video shoot in support of the launch of some upcoming SoundTouch products for Bose. I worked with a senior art director on the stills portions of the shoot and we worked closely together in choosing the look/feel, locations, and photographer for the project.
These stills would serve to support communications for a variety of applications ranging from retail to the web. So it was important to keep those uses in mind. The look and feel of the shoot was to be simple and clean, with the products as the hero and people seen living their lives around them naturally. There were a total of 8 products that we shot in two locations over the course of 4 days.

These are various T-shirts I designed over the years. These were created for personal projects, bands, and competitions. I still have some of these in my closet.

The Bose research team analyzes consumer habits and behavior to create profiles that help them understand their customers better. Every year they distribute their findings in the form of a booklet or formal printed piece. Instead of a printed piece, we decided to distribute the content digitally in the form of a website. The site would be convenient enough to access at all times with the people who need it the most, the Bose employees.
The real challenge was creating a site that covers all the research that was done, while at the same time presenting it in a way that isn’t overwhelming to the viewer. We were able to present the information in more interesting ways, while still covering the most important research. Ultimately the research team were happy with the way we were able to create a more dynamic vehicle for their findings and hope to publish future findings using this platform.

Jimmy Graham plays as a tight end in the NFL, but is also an avid pilot. As part of Team Bose during the NFL season (then part of the New Orleans Saints), there was an opportunity to create content that directly tied him to Bose Aviation and Bose products.
This video used existing content that was captured during the NFL shoot, but was to be used for Bose Aviation's social and online presence. The video was edited to focus on Graham's love of flying and his experience as a pilot. Along with a long form video, we created short form vignettes that could be used on social media.
These posters were created as part of my Senior Thesis at Emmanuel College. The idea behind this project came from a recent trend within the design community that focused on redesigning posters from famous films, often using their own unique styles. I wanted to design posters within a certain style and I wanted to use only vector graphics to accomplish it. When thinking of what movies to recreate, Wes Anderson was the first director who I thought of principally because of his unique style and his careful attention to detail within his films. He meticulously carries the same visual style throughout many of his features.
The films that stuck out to me were The Royal Tennenbaums, The Life Aquatic, and The Darjeeling Limited for various reasons. Although each movie could stand alone, the themes, visual style, and overall feel becomes undeniably similar. I wanted to recreate the spaces where the characters interact and tried to capture the same visual style within a system of geometric vector shapes.
Bose had a goal of replacing their existing site, for one with a responsive layout. This site would ultimately replace all of their regional sites and truly serve as one global site for the company.
As part of the digital design team, we came up with several design options. These were the proposed layouts I designed for the Home and Category pages. A Mobile layout was also created for the Category Page. Ultimately they went with a different layout but this did help influence some design elements of the current design.
These are various Illustrations created over the years. Most of my illustrations are usually centered around movies, tv, or music.
